What do you wear to a bar mitzvah party when the dress code is “club chic”? This was what I had to think about as I packed for a weekend trip to Dallas to see my husband’s family. I had a lot of questions, and was really curious to see what the teenagers (and their moms) would wear. There were definitely some interesting outfit choices, but I felt pretty good about the look I put together. Head-to-toe black with a lot of texture and sparkle kept this outfit fun, while still being age appropriate and family friendly. I took the cardigan off after the service, and I was ready to party!
I was feeling a little under the weather before we left, and unfortunately, traveling didn’t help. I think I might have a sinus infection, but I was able to rally for the important events of the weekend. The party was one of the snazziest I’ve been to and everyone had a great time. Check out my Insta for a few snapshots. It was so nice to spend time with extended family and start the year off with a celebration!
