Have you ever heard the phrase “champagne taste on a beer budget”? Well, this is a champagne tee on a beer budget! With just the right amount of sparkle, it pays homage to bubbly for under $40. I saw the red wine version of this tee on Cathy of Poor Little It Girl, and went to check out if there was a white wine option too. Even better, an ode to sparkling wine, my favorite kind!
Temperatures hit 50 on Saturday, so I took this tee for a spin, with just a (faux) leather jacket on top. It was admittedly a little overly ambitious, but they were the perfect pair, with jeans and sneaks, for a trip to the park. The dog run was SO busy and all of the dogs were in such a happy mood! A note about these jeans: they are (shockingly) my first pair of high-waisted denim. A lot of curvy girls rave about the high waist, so I wanted to give them a try. I think these would have been more flattering if I tucked in my tee, but I wanted to go for a more casual look. Have you tried high-waisted jeans? What did you think?
P.S. You may notice that the blog looks a little different today! I recently discovered that the company who made my blog theme had gone out of business, so if I wanted to change anything (which I did), I couldn’t. So, I started searching for something similar that I could customize myself and found this one on Etsy. I’m still working on a few things, so bear with me, but I hope you like the new design! I love love LOVE this t-shirt! It’s so cute! I also love the detailing on your jacket
Thank you! This tee was such a fun find!
I changed my blog up with an Etsy theme, too – & it was a lot easier than I expected!
For sure, and it’s nice to not make a huge investment.
Such a cute tee, and I love it with the leather jacket. It’s always nice when you can take creative control over your blog – I went with an etsy option as well and it was only a half a day project to get it where I wanted it. Plus it was so inexpensive!
Chic on the Cheap
Thank you! Totally agree on creative control. I’m fortunate in that I know some code, so I’ve never had to pay a developer and can make small tweaks myself. I was pleasantly surprised how many affordable theme options there were on Etsy!
