Yesterday, I took a trip up to the Riverdale section of the Bronx to have brunch with a few girlfriends from my old job. Although my new job is great and was definitely the right decision, I do miss my friends, so it was great to catch up! I also had no idea how beautiful it was in this part of the city! We took a little walk after brunch and came upon this gorgeous enclave with a waterfront view. It was the perfect opportunity to snap some pictures of my take on casual weekend style.
I love that statement sleeves are out in force this fall, and a top like this totally takes a simple outfit up a notch! Also, I realized as I was putting this post together that almost my entire outfit is from LOFT! It’s definitely one of my favorite places to shop, and they have so many great sales, that it’s hard to resist. Sorry not sorry.
This weekend was jam-packed, and all of a sudden it’s Monday again! We’re heading out of town next weekend, so I have a feeling this week will go by pretty fast. On Friday and Saturday, we’ll be in Baltimore for a friend’s wedding, and then I’m flying to New England to attend my first ever Patriots home game on Sunday. I’ve been a fan since birth, so I am beyond exciting! I’m trying to figure out what to wear, but chances are it won’t feel like football weather. What are you up to this week? Hope it’s off to a great start!
Earrings: LOFT, Sunglasses: Kate Spade via Nordstrom Rack (similar), Top: LOFT (similar, another option), Jeans: LOFT, Flats: Me Too via DSW, Bag: Old Navy (similar), Lip Color: Burberry Liquid Lip Velvet in Bright Plum
It finally feels like fall here, & I’m loving living in sweaters. I have only wedding prep plans this week, so I have nothing to dress up for, but I AM looking forward to the actual wedding!
Yay fall and yay wedding so soon! Excited for you!
Love the sleeves on the top and your leopard flats are just the cutest. Sounds like you’ve got some fabulous plans for the week!
Chic on the Cheap
Thanks, Lydia! Hope you’re enjoying fall!
I thought you were in Europe when I first saw these photos! I can’t believe it’s the Bronx! Such cute flats, too!

Right?! I was so surprised! And thanks! These flats will definitely be on heavy rotation 🙂
