A plaid blazer is a wardrobe staple. You can dress it up with a skirt or black pants, or wear a blazer and jeans for the perfect “Casual Friday” look. I had a great plaid blazer, but it was (not so sadly) too big. I saw this one online, but I figured it would be too much for my petite frame. But then, a petite blogger I admire styled it perfectly on Instagram, and I knew I had to check it out in person. Turns out, it’s not too long in Petite sizes and just fitted enough to be flattering! I kept the rest of the outfit tailored, with a turtleneck bodysuit, skinny jeans, and loafers.
Later this week, I’m heading to Cincinnati for work. We have a big weekend of events coming up, and things have been extra busy lately. Last week, we had a workshop about creating a culture of respect in the workplace, and it’s become even more obvious to me just how important it is to show appreciation and respect for your colleagues. People who feel valued, who know that they have your trust, and that they are an important member of your team, are much more likely to step up when you really need them. We spend so much time at our jobs and it really makes a big difference. Just some food for thought!
