On Saturday, we brought Bones down to the Lower East Side for a birthday fundraiser for two of his dog friends. The Instagram dog scene in NYC is actually kind of ridiculous, but Bones and I have had the opportunity to meet some great people and dogs, so I really can’t complain. This party was for our two favorite doodles, Sawyer and Charlie, and their mom Paige did a great job putting together a fun afternoon for dogs and humans. They raised money for the rescue organization where they got Sawyer, a great cause.
The challenge when I go to these dog events is what to wear. It was 90 degrees on Saturday, so I definitely didn’t want to put on pants, but it’s hard to wear a skirt or dress when you have a small dog. This romper is so old that I don’t even remember where I got it, but it was super comfortable and kept me cool. I know some people don’t love rompers, but they’ve gotten so popular that there are a lot more flattering options than there used to be. I’m even seeing some (with long sleeves) in fall colors that would be perfect for transitional temps!
Sunglasses: J.Crew Factory, Earrings: BaubleBar (similar), Romper: old (similar with lace, crocheted option), Espadrille Flats: Rocket Dog (same in different colors), Backpack: Topshop via Nordstrom (similar)
Rompers are SO comfortable but so awkward when going to the bathroom lol! Cute outfit, it’s perfect for taking the dog out!
