I was basically born a sports fan. From a young age, my dad taught me all about how the games were played and what it meant to love a team. Growing up in the Boston area, it was easy to get caught up in the unabashed devotion that is being a Red Sox fan. No matter whether they’re winning or losing, Sox fans are all in.
When we moved to Long Island when I was in high school, there was no doubt in my mind that I would stay true to my sports roots, and I have…even after meeting my husband, a diehard, lifelong Yankee fan. Yes, we live in a house divided, and we’ve even been to a few rivalry games together. I’m not shy about my team pride, and although I have very strong feelings about always wearing team colors, there are definitely fun, feminine ways to show your support. At a baseball game, a baseball hat is a must. I like the less traditional, throwback/vintage wash styles, and a site like Fanatics has tons of baseball hat choices. If I’m lucky enough to get to a Red Sox game this summer, I’ll wear something like this:
Peplum Top: Gap, Hat: Fanatics, Shorts: J.Crew Factory, Sneaks: Keds
