On Saturday, my husband and I picked up a ZipCar and headed north for an apple picking adventure! We drove to Wilkens Farm in Upper Westchester County, about an hour away. It was a beautiful day and plenty of people had the same idea we did. But, with rows and rows of apple trees ready for picking, it never felt crowded. There’s something so fulfilling about picking your own fruit directly from the tree. Definitely a lot more enjoyable than riffling through the pile at the grocery store!
Since we were doing something so quintessentially fall, I had to wear plaid. Tall, comfortable boots were a must for walking in the orchard. Of course, we also stopped at the farm market for some cider to bring home, and the bakery for apple cider donuts. I love FALL!

I haven’t been apple picking yet this year, but I’m hoping we’ll make it! This is such a cute dress!

It’s so fun to pick your fruit right off the tree! I hope you get a chance to go before the season ends! xx
Cute outfit and glad you were able to go apple picking! We spent some time in the orchard this weekend as well 🙂
