Being patient isn’t always easy. I am admittedly an anxious person. When I get excited about something, I want it to happen. If I think of an idea, I can’t wait to get the ball rolling. That said, something I’ve been reminded of lately is that good things really do come to those who wait.
For more than two years, I worked at a job that wasn’t the best fit for me. A little more than a week into my new job, I am exhausted and overwhelmed…but in the best way possible. I get to help people, flex my creative and analytic muscles, grow and learn. It’s an energetic, collaborative environment, and I actually feel valued. All of the long, trying days were totally worth it to get to this place.
I think this mantra is an important reminder in the blogging world. We have so many ideas and want so much from these creative outlets that we pour our hearts and souls into every day. For some, success comes quickly, but for most of us, it takes time. It requires a lot of hard work, time and effort…and patience. That said, if you wait, good things will come. I have some exciting plans for this little Pear in the coming weeks, and I can’t wait to share them with you. It will be worth the wait, I promise!
I’m still so excited about your new job & love that you’re loving it!
Thank you! It’s been a little overwhelming, but I’m just so much happier. To be around open-minded, creative people (like you) is just what I needed 🙂
Amen and preach on sister! Timing is everything in life and sometimes you just have to wait.

Thank you! I never know how people will respond to these posts that are just words, but I really felt like it was an important reminder. Sometimes it’s just nice to know that someone else reached the light at the end of the tunnel.
