Babies require a lot of stuff, and often your loved ones will want to support you on your journey by buying you some of that stuff. Just like for a wedding, it’s possible to create a baby registry on a number of different store websites. But, if you want to give people options for where they shop, definitely check out Babylist. This isn’t a sponsored post, but I wanted to share why we chose Babylist for our baby registry because it really has made everything so easy.
Using Babylist allows you to aggregate the things on your wishlist from a variety of different vendors. It also gives people the opportunity to reserve something without buying it right away. This is super helpful if you’re still figuring out your space, or if you just don’t have space for anything until the very end.
The backend of the website is very user-friendly for the parents-to-be. There’s a gift tracker that allows you to see who got what. You can also mark things as “must-have,” and enable bigger ticket items to be group gifts that people can contribute to. Babylist also has a browser add-on that allows you to easily add things to your registry. You can browse their guides and lists for most popular items, most highly-rated items, and what’s coming soon. Bonus: they’ll send you an email each week that measures your baby’s size by 90s items like Care Bears, Barbies and Game Boys.
When we started building our registry, we relied a lot on recommendations from friends and family. We also did a ton of research and thought about what would be the most useful for our apartment/city life. Everyone will have thoughts about what you “need,” but it’s ultimately up to you. Below are some of our must-haves. I will definitely be reporting back once we actually use them!

Crib | Glider | Bassinet
Diaper Pail | Stroller | Car Seat
Bouncer | Changing Pad | Dresser/Changing Table
Diaper Bag | Wrap | Nursing Pillow | Carrier
