White jeans are a definitely a wardrobe staple for spring and summer (fall and winter too, in my opinion!) But, they can be really hard to shop for, even though (or maybe because) there are so many options. So, I went to eight different stores and tried on 18 pairs of white jeans to help narrow it down for you!
Personally, my top priority is a great fit, but coming in a close second is not being see-through. No one wants to worry about visible undergarments! I made sure to try on different rises, although I’ve been gravitating towards high-rise ever since I discovered the magic during the curvy jeans try-on experience. As far as length, a lot of stores carry petite jeans as well. But, I discovered that the popular “ankle length” often hit me at a weird spot, so be aware of that if you’re on the “taller” end of petite. Also, a number of stores now carry jeans in curvy styles, but they’re often not available in stores, so check online if the fit isn’t right.
Below you’ll find three pictures of each pair I tried on, plus some basic info about each one. I included the “regular” prices, but keep an eye out for sales and discount codes. I’m wearing a size 8 or 29 in almost all of them. If there’s anything I don’t mention below, feel free to leave a comment or send a DM with questions!

Notes: My top three favorites were the J.Crew 9″ Toothpick, Madewell 10″ Skinny, and Ann Taylor Modern Skinny. I liked them the most because of their fit, thicker material and less visible pockets. The least expensive pairs, from Old Navy and Gap, were just okay. I also felt that the two “boyfriend” style pairs I tried on (at Gap and Anthropologie) were not very flattering. All three pairs at Anthropologie were the most expensive, but I wasn’t impressed by any of them. I liked the Skinny High-Rise style at Banana Republic, but I would need to size up. Ann Taylor, LOFT, and J.Crew all carry curvy white jeans online. Old Navy and Madewell have curvy jeans, but not in white. There are definitely some great options out there, so I hope you can find the perfect pair!
