On Saturday, Bones and I went apple picking with our friends Emily and Brett, and their pup Oakley. We ended up at Apple Dave’s in Warwick, which was a bit of a drive, but the orchard is huge and they also have a distillery and winery on site. I thought a lot about what I was going to wear, and since plaid is a fall no-brainer (and I knew we would be in the car for a while), I decided to wear what is seriously the softest skirt. I picked it up on a whim at Target a couple of weeks ago, without even trying it on. It’s only $20 (yes, really) and the most comfortable. I ended up being a little warm with all of my layers, but fortunately this cropped sweater is fairly lightweight.
As I’ve mentioned before, Fall is my favorite, and it’s when I miss living in New England the most. Last week, I realized that there wasn’t a lot of time left in October and I hadn’t been apple picking yet. It may sound silly, but I got very anxious and spent a lot of time and energy stressing about it. Fortunately, things worked out, and we had a very nice time with our friends in a beautiful place. As rough as winter can get, it’s worth it to experience the rest of the seasons! Hope your week is off to a great start!
