If you follow any fashion influencers on the internet, chances are you’ve heard of The Nap Dress. Hill House Home, who makes the dress, already had a loyal following before the pandemic. But, since people have been spending more time at home and prioritizing comfort, I feel like I’ve been seeing The Nap Dress everywhere. There are five styles of the dress in different silhouettes and a variety of patterns and colors. They’re made of cotton (the amount varies), and machine washable. Sounds pretty good, right? The only thing holding me back was the price. They run from $75-125, with a couple of premium fabrics costing a little more. Shortly after I got pregnant, they had a sale, so I decided to take the plunge. That dress is still sitting in my closet because I sized up, but when the new spring line came out, I ordered the one you see here. Let me tell you, The Nap Dress is totally worth it. Comfortable, flattering and chic in one garment!
When I met Lauren for a shoot last week, I knew I wanted to shoot this outfit on the steps of The Met. There was no one there and it was perfect for a Gossip Girl moment! Since it’s still chilly in NYC, I added a cropped cardigan. The only downside is that you can’t see the fabulous sleeves of the dress, but I promise I’ll be wearing it again.
We have a lot of exciting things on the schedule for this weekend! Tomorrow, we’re celebrating our best friends’ new baby with a Jewish ceremony called a bris. I also have to do a bunch of cooking because Passover starts on Saturday night. We’re hosting a virtual seder for the second year in a row, which is so crazy. I miss gathering with family and friends in person for holidays, but I really hope we can do so soon. On Sunday, I’m getting my second dose of the vaccine. I’m preparing in case I feel terrible, but either way, it will be well worth it!
