It is definitely winter in New York! It feels like we pretty much skipped fall and went right into colder temps. It’s been in the 20s all week, which to me means sweater weather! If I have to go outside, I just want to wear the warmest, most comfortable items of clothing that I own. So, for Christmas at my in-laws, I layered a sweater over a lightweight turtleneck and paired it with my favorite jeggings and some Uggs. It’s so funny how Uggs have made their way off of the fashion blacklist. I usually only wear them to walk the dog in the winter, but there are actually some cuter pairs out there, and they’re SO warm. What do you think? Are Uggs still too ugly for real life? By the way, if you want to try out a pair without paying full price, I got these on Poshmark for a lot less than retail. You can download the app and enter code SAMEVE to get a $5 credit in your account.
Can you believe the year is almost over?! I’m still figuring out what I want to wear for New Year’s Eve, thinking about resolutions for the new year, and reflecting on this one. 2017 has been pretty great! I got a new job which I really love, my nephew was born, and my husband and I celebrated with friends and family at six weddings. There were definitely tough moments too. Losing my grandpa in September was really hard, and I’m still coming to terms with not having him in my life anymore. But, I know he would be proud of me, and I’m grateful that he lived such a long and fulfilling life. Next year, I want to take better care of myself and be more adventurous. Life is too short to play it safe all the time, and I definitely need to see more of the world!

Yes, it’s gotten super cold! But isn’t that always the way? Next thing you know we’ll have skipped spring and arrived in summer.
Uggs were never something I owned, but I will agree the company now offers a lot more stylish options when it comes to keeping your feet nice and warm.
I have a knockoff pair I bought at Costco that I wear as slippers & I am fully obsessed with them. SO COZY that I don’t care if they’re ugly!
There are some pretty great knockoff pairs too. The fuzziness is worth it!
