You guys, I am SO ready for spring! I really wanted to share this gorgeous floral maxi dress, and we tried to shoot outside, but nature is just not ready yet. Fortunately, there was a super chic indoor space where we could capture this look without freezing. I’m incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to work with Lauren of Laurel Creative and her team with the ladies from Out of Office Media and shoot in places like this!
Back to the dress…this beauty is from last month’s Gal Meets Glam Collection. I’ve already shared my love for this brand, and it just increases every time they release new styles. The dresses and jumpsuits Julia Hengel designs are beautiful and feminine, in timeless silhouettes. And one of the things I really appreciate is that she designs for women of all shapes and sizes. Every item is available in sizes 00-20, and many of them are available in petite. This is especially amazing for maxi dresses, which I’ve always been hesitant to buy. I have an issue with instant gratification, and I want to be able to wear something as soon as possible after I buy it. This means, I’m hesitant to purchase things that I need to have altered, which can be a challenge when you’re only 5’4″. I’m wearing one of my lowest pairs of shoes with this dress and it still doesn’t touch the floor! Julia: petite ladies everywhere thank you!
One note: these dresses are more expensive than what I would normally spend, but I’ve found them to be incredibly high quality, and totally worth it! But, if you’re hesitant about investing, check Nordstrom Rack for styles from previous month’s collections for less.
