Every time I wear red, I’m reminded how much I love it. It’s definitely my power color, and wearing it makes me feel totally fierce (even if I’m totally sweaty and exhausted, like I was when we took these photos). So, I’m adding more red to my wardrobe, starting with this fun off the shoulder top! I wore this outfit on Sunday when I had plans to go to The Color Factory and brunch for a friend’s birthday. A few days before, I found out that I had won tickets to 29 Rooms, and the only time I could go before they closed was also Sunday. It was basically a pop-up marathon, and although it was really fun, it was also a lot for this introvert. The weather was quite warm, which is why I opted for shorts. And, I knew I would be on my feet, so a cute pair of sneakers was a must. Fortunately, my dressier top was the perfect contrast with these more casual pieces. It was also an excellent pop of color for ALL the Instagram story snapshots!
Living in NYC, I have the chance to go to a lot of pop-ups. I actually went to two other smaller ones last week too. It’s interesting how many brands and creatives are embracing this concept, and I think it’s a fun way to engage your audience. Aside from it being an enjoyable visual and interactive experience (with lots of Instagrammable moments), I like when I can learn something too. The Rose Mansion was great for that, and Color Factory as well. 29 Rooms was more about creativity and fun. But, it was super crowded and a bit chaotic, which took a little away from the experience. What do you think about the pop-up craze?
