I’ve been wanting to try the midi skirt for a long time, wondering if this particular length would work for shorter women like me, or just look frumpy. This green skirt has been on my wish list since the holidays, and I finally gave in and ordered it a couple of weeks ago. Let me tell you, the answer is yes, petite women can wear midi-length skirts and not look like they’re playing dress up. The key is choosing a skirt that is the right material, flows well, and shows at least few inches of leg. If you’re also pear-shaped, look for a defined waistband, and be careful with big pleats.
Anytime you wear a flowy skirt, a closer-fitting top is always a good contrast. To keep this look young (but not too young), I paired my midi with a cropped long sleeve tee. Crop tops are another thing that I was really excited to try, even if they were outside my comfort zone. Don’t be afraid of them if you’re curvy. You can wear a high-waisted bottom and only show a sliver of skin.

Love this look on you! Probably one of my favorite looks! You can pull off a crop top so well!

Thanks, Jacqueline! This is definitely one of my favorite looks too. So glad you like it! Crop tops were scary at first, but they’re actually not so bad 🙂 xo
