Sometimes, you just have to keep it simple. This is something I remind myself every day, especially when putting together outfits. Getting dressed is pretty simple, but when you have a lot of options and a passion for style, it can very get complicated. I know, I know, first world problems, but it’s a lesson that applies to the rest of life too. We spend way too much time getting stressed out about the little things.
Back to the outfit. Here I am in boyfriend jeans again, and so comfy. I took a short sleeve sweater and layered it over a long sleeve tee. Add some statement shoes and simple jewelry, and I’m out the door. See that fantastic bag on my shoulder? It’s from Old Navy, and it is the result of an exhaustive search for the perfect camel/cognac tote at an affordable price. I can’t even tell you how many bags I looked at and almost bought. My goal was to find a tote in this color that was big enough to hold the essentials + my DSLR, but didn’t look bulky. Good things come to those who wait…or those who shop obsessively until they find exactly what they wanted!
Long Sleeve Tee: Ann Taylor (similar), Sweater: LOFT (similar), Jeans: LOFT, Loafers: Kelly & Katie via DSW (similar)
Earrings: Bloomingdales, Necklace: BaubleBar (same in enamel), Tote: Old Navy
I have that necklace too and wear it all the time!

It’s one of my favorites too!
I agree with you: Keeping an outfit just simple can turn out pretty classy! I really like the loafers with the leopard pattern (I must admit, it’s still missing in my closet yet). And the color of the tote is nice!
