As an editor, I’m lucky that my work wardrobe can also double as my weekend wardrobe (which only consists of flats). My meetings are typically with individuals who are either in sports gear or in lounge clothes (usually if they’re coming in for a photo shoot) so there’s really no need to wear business attire. When not in meetings, which is most of the time. I’m at my desk or running between departments—for this I need to be in flats. To add, in a country where highs in the summer can reach 50c (122f) with 60% humidity, the last thing you want is to be trudging around in heels. Don’t get me wrong, my Louboutins are my favourite item in my closet, but I’m afraid those only come out on nights out!
