When my husband saw the title for this post, he said maybe I should rename my blog “Double Dots”… Polka dots are my favorite, but I usually keep it to one set of dots per outfit! I tried on this dress a couple of weeks ago, and actually wasn’t sure about it. Did I need another polka dot dress? No. Was it too dressy for my office? A little bit. But, did I love how it fit and the way that it moved? Absolutely yes! So, I went for it, and I’m so glad that I did! I decided to keep my jewelry delicate and simple, but opted for a patterned shoe instead of solid black. Because the whole look is black and white, it manages to not look too loud, and this outfit was perfect for a work day when I had an event in the evening.
The Monday after a long weekend is always a difficult one, so I hope yours is going smoothly so far! We spent a few days in Upstate New York with Ilana, my best friend from high school, and her family. She has two kids under three, plus a dog, and she works full-time. I’m so impressed with how she manages everything, and I give so much credit to all of the moms out there! Ilana is one of those friends who I don’t always talk to as much as I would like, but when we see each other, it’s like no time has passed. We met during high school after I moved from Massachusetts to New York, and I’ve always been so grateful for our friendship!
