Last week, I spent two jam-packed days at #IFBcon. I met great people and learned a lot about blogging and how to make my blog the best it can be. On day one, panel topics included social media influence, brand partnerships, and affiliate marketing. There was so much valuable insight from experienced bloggers, PR and marketing execs, fashion editors, and industry experts!
We also heard from CEOs including Lisa Salzer from Lulu Frost jewelry and Katia Beauchamp of Birchbox, and had the opportunity to learn about new technology from companies like Shop My Label and PadSquad. The day ended with a fabulous party at the W Hotel in Union Square!
My key takeaways from the day:
- It’s incredibly important to find your niche and show the unique value that you can bring to the fashion world, as well as to specific brands.
- Stay connected to your readers. Know what they’re looking for, reading, sharing. Be responsive.
- When it comes to brands, be creative and specific. Do your research and reach out to brands that mean something to you.
- Step out of your comfort zone. Be your own biggest fan and your biggest critic. Be authentic.
More outfit photos and thoughts on day two later in the week!
real interesting. I’m studying how to grow my blog. Unfortunately, I missed this event. Where can I find some videos?

Hi Christina! It was really a great learning experience! I know they live streamed the conference, but I’m not sure where the videos are now. Check out this tagged section of the website: http://heartifb.com/tag/ifbcon/ for some helpful info. Thanks for commenting!
Looks like this was a very inspired conference. Thanks for sharing those key tips too.
And thanks for your sweet note on today’s post. It means so much!

It was a great experience! Can’t wait to share more about it.
And no thanks necessary. Big fan of both of you ladies, and always sending good thoughts your way, especially in tough times.
