These blooms are a little more subtle than the ones from last week’s post, but still beautiful! I love the pop of purple as a backdrop for this neutral outfit. But, as I always say, neutral doesn’t have to be boring! Bold pattern and block heels definitely take it up a notch. This fabulous skirt is from a two-piece set that I got at Anthropologie last year. The best thing about sets is you can wear the pieces separately, so you get much more wear out of it. I know some people who are curvy on the bottom get nervous about bold patterns, but you can totally rock it. Try something in black and white like this first, and then go for color. As for the shoes, I had to get rid of my flat sandals because they weren’t supportive enough (#late30s), so you’ll be seeing a lot of wedges and block heels this spring and summer.
This week, I’m doing a lot of pampering in preparation for my friend Andrea’s wedding this weekend. Tomorrow is hair cut, and Thursday is eyebrows and nails. I have a membership to Glosslab, which has been so great. They do nail art, have so many colors to choose from, and their services are completely waterless. If you want to try them out, you can get a free mani with code SamanthaA104.
